CERAMIC ON GLASS â Material & Care Instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your product!
These instructions will help you enjoy your ceramic-on-glass tabletop for years to come.
PROPERTIES OF CERAMIC ON GLASS
Ceramic on glass is a high-quality composite material that combines the aesthetic qualities of ceramic with the strength and stability of tempered glass.
The tabletop consists of a thin ceramic layer that is permanently bonded to a tempered glass backing.
This creates an extremely strong, scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and heat-resistant surface that is ideal for outdoor use.
The combination of these materials provides a luxurious appearance and outstanding durability. Small variations in colour, gloss, or texture are natural characteristics of the manufacturing process and do not affect the quality of the product.
DO NOT
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, acids, or abrasive cleaners.
- Do not use a pressure washer or steam cleaner.
- Do not place hot pans or barbecues directly on the tabletop (always use trivets or heat-resistant mats).
- Avoid heavy impacts or knocks to the edges. Although the material is very strong, the glass remains vulnerable to breakage from point impacts.
- Do not cover the tabletop for extended periods with a non-breathable cover, as this may cause condensation and discolouration.
FIRST AID FOR ACCIDENTS
- Spills? Wipe up liquids immediately with a soft, damp cloth.
- Grease stains or stubborn deposits? Clean with lukewarm water and a mild washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a microfibre cloth.
- Limescale stains or dull spots? Use a specialised ceramic care product or a solution of water and white vinegar (10:1).
- Minor scratches on the ceramic? These are often superficial and can usually be visually reduced with a ceramic polishing product.
- Crack or break in the glass? Stop using the table immediately and contact your dealer.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To preserve the appearance and lifespan of your ceramic-on-glass tabletop, we recommend the following:
- Regular cleaning:
Clean the tabletop with a soft, damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Avoid products containing acids, ammonia, or chlorine. - Protection against weather conditions:
The material is fully weather-resistant, but we recommend protecting the furniture during winter with a breathable protective cover or storing it indoors. Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water to prevent limescale deposits. - Use:
- Use coasters under glasses and hot objects.
- Lift accessories and tableware instead of sliding them across the surface to prevent superficial scratches.
- Regularly check that the tabletop is securely attached to the frame.
- Maintenance and repairs:
Only use maintenance products that are suitable for ceramic and glass. Avoid dulling cleaners or abrasive scouring pads. - General safety (GPSR compliant):
- Periodically check the stability of both the tabletop and the frame.
- Only use the furniture for its intended purpose.
- Avoid overloading or striking the tabletop with hard objects.
