PROPERTIES OF CERAMIC

Ceramic is a high-quality, durable, and low-maintenance material that is particularly suitable for outdoor use. It is made from natural raw materials (such as clay, minerals, and pigments) that are compressed under high pressure and fired at extremely high temperatures. The result is a hard, dense, and non-porous surface that is resistant to moisture, heat, frost, scratches, and UV radiation. Ceramic does not absorb liquids and will not discolour when exposed to sunlight. As a result, it retains its appearance for many years, even with intensive use in a wide range of weather conditions.

Small variations in colour, texture, or gloss are natural characteristics of ceramic and make each product unique.

DO NOT

• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, acids, chlorine, or abrasive cleaners.
• Do not use metal scouring pads or hard brushes, as these may scratch the glaze or dull the surface.
• Do not place hot pans or grills directly on the surface; always use trivets or heat-resistant mats.
• Avoid heavy impacts or dropping heavy objects, as ceramic is strong but not unbreakable.
• Do not cover the surface for extended periods with a non-breathable cover, as this may cause condensation or staining.

FIRST AID FOR ACCIDENTS

• Dirt or dust? Remove loose dirt with a soft, dry cloth or sponge.
• Light dirt? Clean with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent (such as a neutral all-purpose cleaner). Rinse thoroughly and dry the surface.
• Grease stains or stubborn dirt? Use a soft cloth with a pH-neutral ceramic cleaner.
• Limescale stains? Remove using a solution of water and white vinegar (3:1 ratio), rinse thoroughly with clean water, and dry the surface.
• Minor surface scratches? These can usually be concealed with a ceramic maintenance oil or surface restorer.
• Severe damage (cracks or chips)? Contact your dealer for professional advice or repair options.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To preserve the appearance and lifespan of your ceramic furniture, we recommend the following:

1. Regular cleaning:
   Clean the surface regularly with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution. Use a soft sponge or microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and aggressive cleaning products.
2. Prevent staining:
   Although ceramic is non-porous, residues from liquids, grease, or limescale can dry onto the surface. Remove these promptly to prevent dull spots.
3. Protection against mechanical damage:
   Ceramic is hard but may break under extreme impact. Do not place heavy or sharp objects directly on the edges, and avoid strong impacts.
4. Protection against weather conditions:
   Ceramic is fully weather-resistant and frost-resistant, but the table base or frame (such as aluminium or steel) may benefit from additional protection during winter. Use a breathable protective cover or place the furniture under shelter during prolonged periods of rain or frost.
5. General safety:
   • Regularly check the stability of the tabletop and its fixings.
   • Avoid overloading or applying uneven pressure to the surface.
   • Only use the furniture for its intended purpose.

Following these care and usage instructions correctly is a condition of maintaining the warranty.
Damage caused by improper use, aggressive cleaning, impact damage, or conditions outside normal use is not covered by the warranty.
