POLYSTONE â Material & Care Instructions
Congratulations on the purchase of your product!
These instructions are intended to help you get the most out of your polystone garden furniture and provide guidance on its proper use and maintenance.
PROPERTIES OF POLYSTONE
Polystone is a durable composite material made from a mixture of ground natural stone (such as granite or marble) and liquid resin. It combines the natural appearance of stone with the strength and weather resistance of resin. Variations in colour, texture, or gloss are natural characteristics of the manufacturing process and give each piece of furniture its own unique appearance.
Although polystone is highly resistant to weather conditions, it is still important to treat the surface correctly and protect it from extreme conditions.
DO NOT
Cover the furniture with a non-breathable cover (this may trap moisture and cause staining).
- Scratch the surface with sharp or metal objects.
- Clean with a pressure washer or abrasive cleaning products.
- Use acidic or corrosive cleaning agents (such as vinegar or chlorine).
- Place hot pans, dishes, or glasses directly on the surface.
- Leave liquids or grease on the surface for extended periods, as this may cause staining.
FIRST AID FOR ACCIDENTS
- Spilled drinks? Remove them immediately with a soft, damp cloth to prevent staining.
- Grease stains or other stains? Clean with lukewarm water and a mild soap solution, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a soft cloth.
- Minor scratches or dull spots? These can often be treated with a fine polishing compound suitable for composite materials. If in doubt, consult your dealer.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To extend the lifespan of your polystone garden furniture and preserve its appearance, we recommend the following:
- Regular cleaning:
Clean the surface regularly with lukewarm water and a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive scouring pads, as these may dull or damage the surface. - Protection against weather conditions:
Although polystone is resistant to rain and sunlight, we recommend protecting the furniture during prolonged periods of rain or frost with a breathable protective cover or storing it indoors. For maximum longevity, place your furniture in a shaded area or under shelter whenever possible. Avoid leaving standing water on the surface to prevent limescale deposits or stains. - Preventing stains:
Always use coasters under glasses, pots, or decorative accessories, especially when they contain oils, acids, or colourants.
Polystone is naturally porous, and prolonged contact with grease, wine, coffee, or acidic substances may cause permanent stains. - Maintenance and repairs:
For light surface damage, a gentle polishing compound or composite cleaner may be used.
For deeper damage or cracks, we recommend contacting your dealer for professional repair advice. - General safety:
- Regularly check that the furniture remains stable and safe to use.
- Only use the furniture for its intended purpose (for example, not as a step or work surface).
- Avoid overloading or impacts that could damage the surface.
