SINTERED STONE – Material & Care Instructions

Congratulations on the purchase of your product!
These instructions are intended to help you get the most out of your sintered stone tabletop, manufactured from a high-quality ceramic composite.

PROPERTIES OF SINTERED STONE

Sintered stone is an innovative and durable material created through a natural process involving extremely high pressure and heat, during which mineral raw materials (such as quartz, feldspar, and clay minerals) are compressed. The result is an exceptionally hard, dense, and non-porous surface that is resistant to scratches, stains, UV radiation, and temperature fluctuations.

Minor variations in colour or texture between tabletops are natural characteristics of the manufacturing process and contribute to the unique appearance of every piece of furniture.

DO NOT

  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive products (such as bleach, chlorine, acidic cleaners, or steel wool).
  • Do not use a pressure washer for cleaning.
  • Do not place hot pans, barbecues, or serving dishes directly on the tabletop (always use trivets or heat-resistant mats).
  • Do not use the tabletop as a cutting board, as sharp knives may cause fine scratches.
  • Avoid leaving liquids on the surface for prolonged periods, especially acidic substances such as wine, citrus juice, or vinegar.
  • Do not cover the tabletop for extended periods with a non-breathable cover, as this may cause condensation and discolouration.

FIRST AID FOR ACCIDENTS

  • Spilled liquids: Wipe them up immediately with a soft, damp cloth to prevent them from drying and causing stains.
  • Grease stains: Clean with a solution of lukewarm water and a mild washing-up liquid. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.
  • Limescale stains or stubborn deposits: Use a non-abrasive ceramic cleaner and rinse thoroughly.
  • Damage or cracks? Contact your dealer for professional advice.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To preserve the natural appearance and durability of your sintered stone tabletop, we recommend the following:

  1. Regular cleaning:
Clean the tabletop after use with lukewarm water and a soft microfibre cloth. For everyday care, a mild cleaning agent is sufficient. Avoid products containing acids, alkalis, or solvents (such as acetone or turpentine).
  2. Preventing damage:
    • Always use coasters or trivets under glasses, plates, and hot dishes.
    • Lift heavy objects instead of sliding them across the surface.
    • Avoid impacts with hard or sharp objects to prevent edge damage.
  3. Weather resistance:
Sintered stone is frost-resistant, UV-resistant, and heat-resistant, making it ideal for outdoor use. Nevertheless, we recommend protecting the tabletop during winter or prolonged rainy periods with a breathable protective cover or storing the furniture in a dry place.
  4. Long-term protection:
Although the material does not require periodic treatment, a specialised ceramic sealer can be used to provide additional protection against dirt and limescale. If in doubt, ask your dealer for suitable maintenance products.
  5. General safety:
    • Regularly check that the tabletop is securely mounted and that the construction remains stable.
    • Only use the furniture for its intended purpose.
    • Avoid overloading or placing the furniture on an uneven surface.

WARRANTY

Following these care and usage instructions is a condition of maintaining the warranty. Damage caused by improper use, aggressive cleaning products, thermal shock, or incorrect storage is not covered by the warranty.
